Synthesis of hydrogen chlorine by burning hydrogen and chlorine together in graphite furnace has proved to be economical and reliable operation. This is true particularly in those processes where hydrogen chlorine or hydrochloric acid is required for on-site use. Typical uses occur in brine electrolysis, vinyl chlorine manufacture, paper and pulp production, polycrystalline silicon production and various metallurgical processes.
Synthesis system supplied by Nantong Xinbao demonstrate their capability in operation through their unquestioned advantage:
*hydrogen chlorine synthesis system can be used for the production of dry HCL gas of up to 97% purity at 0.20MPa(G) pressure. Output based on 100% HCL of hydrogen chlorine synthesis system can be 5~150ton/day
*Production of hydrochloric acid in a concentration of 1% to 40% HCL from chlorine and hydrogen, using water or hydrochloric acid as the absorbing liquid.
*Quality of the HCL gas or hydrochloric acid. Hydrochloric acid can be produced to any specification, ranging from technical or chemical quality to foodstuffs quality and thence to semi-conductor quality.
*Cl2 gas with a higher O2 content can be combusted in hydrogen chlorine synthesis system without greatly affecting the service life of the combustion chamber. For safety reasons the O2 content in the H2 gas must be below 4%.
*Heat recovery: The combusting heat of H2 and CL2 in HCL synthesis can be put to effective use. This energy can be recovered in the form of steam at 0.1~1.0MPa pressure or hot water by suitable adaptation of the combustion chamber.
HCL synthesis unit are available in four different designs which differ mainly in the arrangement of the cooler and absorber. special combustion systems can be used for heat recovery in the four series. :
