Chelate Resin Adsorption Unit
The polished brine from secondary filtration system is sent to Cherate Resin Adsorption Unit where trace metals are removed to the specified level for electrolyzer operation.
Especially calcium and magnesium are removed to less than 20 ppb. When one of three towers is regenerated, other two towers are arranged in series which operate in a merry go round mode. Every 24 hours, one tower operated in front position is taken out of service for regeneration, while the second tower becomes the first tower. After regeneration, the regenerated tower is put back in service as guard tower and cycle continues.
The super purified brine from the resin tower is collected in Super Purified Brine Tank.
Capacity and available sizes
The systems can be designed for a capacity of 1.5~350m³/h brine. The equipment sizes are matched to the customer's needs.
